Calendar Clock: A customizable day clock application with messaging functionality that helps people with cognitive disorders get a better handle on day and night.
Calendar Clock is a day clock application with messaging functionality that supports people with reduced sense of time and memory loss. It is designed to help people with cognitive problems get a better handle on day and night. The application shows the part of the day and the time, both digital and analog. Important agenda items, reminders and/or personal messages can also be displayed.
People with cognitive impairment benefit from simple devices that require almost no interaction or button presses. Calendar Clock innovates on the concept of a day clock by making remote control possible via a second application. Messages can be sent via this application, to which alarm signals and read confirmations can be added. In addition, colors can be adjusted, buttons can be disabled and the app can be set to full-screen mode, making it more difficult to accidentally press the wrong buttons.
The application is available for free for both iOS and Android and can be installed on older devices that can be placed in a recognizable location in the home. After connecting to the administrator application, no further interaction is required.
