Certification-D

Certification of technological products for people with dementia to support SMEs in innovation and growth.

The network of partners, consisting of research and healthcare institutions, SMEs, associations and people with dementia, is working to develop design standards for products designed for people with dementia living at home. Together with a certification company, new and existing products for people with dementia will be evaluated and certified.

The vision of the project is that people with dementia should be supported to continue living at home as safely, healthily and for as long as possible. The mission of the project is to guarantee the quality of products, systems and services for people with dementia and to support and encourage companies to design well for people with dementia.

Within the project, products from small and medium-sized companies are tested and improved with the support of people with dementia.

The researchers contribute to the recruitment and selection of companies for the test phase in the Living Labs, where people with dementia are involved in meaningful interaction with warm technologies. The outcome of the testing phase includes design support for the companies participating in the study and provides access to the certification process developed by the partners.
